Seizures, Sarabella, And Sonora Burritos

Haha, okay okay, so before any of you freak out, I AM OKAY. I didn't have a seizure, all is well. I promise.

But this week was LOCO. So buckle up my friends, this is going to be fun.

This past week, I went on an exchange with Sister Warden. (For those of you who may not know what that is, once a transfer we change companions for part of a day just to learn more about how to improve doing missionary work). But for this exchange I went to her area... now I had heard some crazy things about this area, but I didn't really believe it could be THAT crazy. Boy was I wrong. We went to visit someone who told the Sisters that they could come back the next week. Well that week came and it just so happened to be while I was there. Anyway, we pull up to this lady's house, and start walking into the driveway and all of the sudden these two ladies come running out of the house towards the RV that was parked in the driveway. We were so confused, and all the sudden someone started screaming, and then we heard someone on the phone with 911. And that's when all the pieces started to come together... but Sister Warden and I had no idea what to do, so we stood by our car, (to get out of the way of the ambulance that pulled up not even 5 minutes later), and we said a prayer for the man inside the RV, who we later found out was having a seizure. But we prayed that he would have the strength to be able to get up to go to the hospital. And by the grace of God, that man was able to stand up and walk (with a little assistance from the paramedics). But the most awkward part about this was that our car was parked right in between the ambulance and the firetruck... so we couldn't leave until they did. Right after we were able to talk with the daughter of the lady we were supposed to see, we just sat awkwardly in the car until everyone left so that we could leave. It. Was. WILD. But then we left and the rest of the exchange was normal.

Anyway, onto Sarabella. Sarabella is one of our new friends- SHE IS SO SWEET. LOVE HER. But we went to her house, and we had a good little lesson with her. But during this lesson, she was talking, and all of the sudden the spirit just hit me like a ton of bricks. The Holy Ghost testified to me of the IMMENSE love that Heavenly Father has for her, and that I needed to tell her this. So I start telling her, and before you know it I'm crying, and she's crying. It was a very tender moment that I know I'm going to remember forever. But God loves all of His children SO MUCH. And it was very special to get to feel a fragment of that love that He has for His children.

Sonora Burrito!!! Okay so I didn't even know what this was until a couple weeks ago, but it's this burrito that they make at Disneyland that one of the Elders is OBSESSED with. It just so happened to be his birthday on the 16th, and Hermana Worthington and I decided that we needed to make him a Sonora Burrito. So we searched high and low for a recipe, but there were literally none on Google. We looked forever. But eventually we just found a picture of the menu from the park and it says exactly what's in it, so we made a Sonora burrito for him. When he saw it he literally fell to the floor, he was so excited. Then we all ate Sonora Burritos together. (We made enough for everyone). It was a fun little memory. :)

Anyway, now I need your help. Walter (I know I mention him a lot in my emails, we always just have super cool lessons with him haha). But we promised him that if he came to church on Sunday, the Lord would help him find a new job that would allow him to attend church on Sunday's. So if you could all pray for Walter and his efforts to find a new job, that would be great.

Today, at 5:30 this morning, I went to the San Diego temple for the first time!! It. is. so. beautiful. I can't believe I get to live close to this temple for the next 16 and a half months. I'll put some pictures so that you guys can see what it looks like.
