I Got A Fist Bump From Elder Renlund

Hola mis amigos!!     Alright homies, it's been a little over two weeks since you last heard anything from me and a lot has happened, so buckle up.      Last Tuesday, I said goodbye to my family and hopped onto a plane to Mexico City! Although I was very sad to leave my family, I was so excited to meet my district, and let me tell you- THEY ARE SO AMAZING. Every single one of them radiates the light of Christ. I made it to Mexico City and the drive to the CCM (Mexico MTC) was insane. I literally could've stuck my hand out the window and touched the car next to me. And Mexico traffic is kinda like "every man for himself", so it was kinda fun, kinda scary. But Mexico City is so beautiful! I'm definitely planning on coming back with la otra Hermana Grimm after my mission! :)) Once I made it to the CCM, some of my district and I got the full run down on how things work around here, and we got to lug all of our bags up 3 flights of stairs. .... So fun…     ...

WEEK 2: It's A Real Frog-Strangler Out There

Mis amigos!!!!      It wasn't actually a frog-strangler here in Arkansas at all this week, I just made this the subject because I taught a few people in my district some southern sayings this week. (This is one of my favorites. It's what you say when it's pouring rain outside, and it's a lot more fun than saying "it's raining cats and dogs" in my opinion, haha.) If you want to know more, just ask, I dun got a lot of 'em up here in my noggin'.      I am officially done with my second week of CCM (Centro De Capacitación Misional Mexico)!!     (Like 76 more weeks to go haha, but it’s already going by so fast).  I’m definitely feeling all the emotions as I’m wrapping up my last week of home CCM, but the thing I keep telling everyone when they ask me if I’m ready to go is this- HECK YES. Sitting in zoom classes all day, every day for two weeks talking about God’s amazing work has only increased my anxiousness to get out there and DO His wor...

Hola a todos :)))      Wow, this first week has gone by SO FAST!! And it has been one heck of a journey, so buckle your seatbelts.      Monday was my first day of home MTC (Missionary Training Center) (but in spanish, the acronym is CCM)! It was awesome!! I met my companion, district, and teachers- and all I’ve gotta say is I’m one lucky gal. :) I won’t lie, it was pretty difficult for me to connect with my companion, Hermana Anderson at first, but these last five days have helped me gradually get to know her more. She’s super sweet. I LOVE MY DISTRICT!! Everyone is so kind and SUPER knowledgeable in the Spanish language. (Which I’m so grateful for because sometimes my Spanish is not the greatest). I’m so ready to meet them in person and to get to know them better! The Lord knew exactly who needed to be in District 7B, I’ve felt it as I’ve met all of my new friends.      Tuesday I felt super weighed down by a lot of things, but mainly my hear...
