Hey howdy hello     This week went by SO FAST. But it was so good! This is probably going to be a pretty brief email because I'm calling my family and writing this at the same time.      This week we met with a lot of our friends and ate SO MUCH FOOD. But today I thought I'd focus on the little miracles that happened during the week.      This past week my ward (or the congregation of people I go to church with) threw a pachanga (party) for someone in our ward that turned 100. Our bishop asked me and the elders to sing... which we definitely did not wait to prepare until like an hour before the party started... but God really helped us and we sang a beautiful song for Roberto (the 100 year old). And not to mention we ate some dang good carne asada. It was amazing.      Okay, okay, now for a cool spiritual moment that actually happened on my birthday!! (Also thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, my 20th was one I know...

Hola from sunny San Diego!!!      Wow, it has been one crazy eventful week, but to sum it up I'll just tell you that I LOVE IT HERE. San Diego is beautiful, and the people are incredible.      I live in a place called Chula Vista, which is only about 10ish minutes away from the Mexico border. (So I use Spanish all. the. time.) We meet a lot of people from Tijuana, and they're always talking about how good the tacos are down there, so it's on my bucket list to try one of these tacos after my mission, haha      I got here a week ago and I was absolutely exhausted from a full day of travel, but I met my Mission President and his wife AND my sweet sweet companion- Hermana Worthington! After we left the airport, Hermana Worthington and my STL's (sister trainer leaders) took me to eat a Cali-burrito so that I would officially be a CDSM (California, San Diego Mission) Hermana. It was life changing... and also the biggest burrito I've ever eaten in m...

Hola familia y amigos!!      It feels so surreal to even be writing this email, and I'm sure I'll say that for many more emails to come, haha. This week was my last full week en el CCM México. It's been a week full of all the emotions for sure. It's hard thinking about leaving my district family, but I know they're all going to do amazing things, and boy oh boy am I grateful for email and Facebook messenger, haha. They're definitely still going to hear from me.      Where to start this week?! My companions and I started teaching a lot more lessons this week, which was good, but also stressful!! Guess it's good prep for the field.  This week wasn't too crazy eventful other than a lot of special little spiritual experiences and just being close with my companions and district as this is our last week together for two or so years. So I've just been trying to soak up all the little moments with them. I am so excited to go to San Diego, and I think my sto...

Well ladies and gents, howdy!!      How are ya? What's up my homies? I'm doing pretty great! This week has gone by crazy fast, and I'm now approaching my last full week here at the CCM. AHHHHH!! And then I leave for San Diego on the 15th! It's insane how fast time has flown by here, and some days I don't feel ready to go at all, and other days I'm just itching to be teaching actual people. (Not just my teachers pretending to be investigators, haha). But this week has been pretty good! I've learned a lot about connecting with others and how to better study my scriptures! (I'm going to attach the file I got from Elder Larson on "Feasting on the Word", it's a pretty good method for if you want to get even more out of your studies). But it's been great, and morale has stayed high!      Last Friday I was blessed with the opportunity to go to el Templo de la Ciudad de México! (The Mexico City Temple). IT. WAS. BEAUTIFUL. And there are so many...
