Anita Is Watching Us...

Hola familia y amigos!!

It feels so surreal to even be writing this email, and I'm sure I'll say that for many more emails to come, haha. This week was my last full week en el CCM México. It's been a week full of all the emotions for sure. It's hard thinking about leaving my district family, but I know they're all going to do amazing things, and boy oh boy am I grateful for email and Facebook messenger, haha. They're definitely still going to hear from me.

Where to start this week?! My companions and I started teaching a lot more lessons this week, which was good, but also stressful!! Guess it's good prep for the field.

This week wasn't too crazy eventful other than a lot of special little spiritual experiences and just being close with my companions and district as this is our last week together for two or so years. So I've just been trying to soak up all the little moments with them. I am so excited to go to San Diego, and I think my stomach will definitely enjoy going back to foods it's a little more familiar with haha. OHHH hahaha, yeah I guess this is a "funny" worth sharing. Last week I met a Mexican Elder in line while I was getting breakfast and it was a brief maybe two or three minute conversation MAX, and I guess it was just long enough for him to fall in love with me. I didn't think anything of it, I was just making small talk while I was waiting for my breakfast, in fact I forgot his name. But on Sunday night after our devotional, he stopped me on my way out AND ASKED ME TO WRITE HIM DURING OUR MISSIONS. DUDE WHAT?! Get yo head back on yo missionary purpose mah dude. (the woman was too stunned to speak). Don't worry y'all, I'm not planning on writing to him. (So before you roast me Bompa, I'll say it again, I'M NOT WRITING HIM, I'm on the Lord's time right now). But I just thought it was funny and worth sharing. I'm just breakin hearts out here I guess lol.

This week I'm very grateful for the experiences I've had in my life, specifically the trails I've faced. The things I've learned from those trials have really helped me be able to teach others with more empathy. I hope I will continue to be able to do that throughout my mission.

To end off this mail, I thought I'd share a favorite "comfort scripture" of mine.

D&C 122:9 "Therefore, hold on thy way, and the priesthood shall remain with thee; for their bounds are set, they cannot pass. Thy days are known and thy years shall not be numbered less; therefore, fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever."

Don't forget to keep me updated with everything, I want to hear from you!! Love you lots.
