Livin' The Dream

Howdy everyone!! 

This past week has been so amazing!! Let me tell ya about it :))) 

 

 

This week I've learned a lot about the different attributes of Jesus Christ: Faith, Hope, Charity & Love, Virtue, Knowledge, Patience, Humility, Diligence, and Obedience. I started a Book of Mormon read with Hermana Worthington, and I'm trying to go through as we read and mark all of the verses that relate to the attributes of Christ. It has taught me so much, and I would invite you all to do the same.

 

 

We taught Walter again this past week (and a lot of other friends too, Walter's lessons are always just so memorable). Walter came to stake conference this weekend, WHICH WAS A MIRACLE, because he always works on Sunday's. My companion was actually prompted to call and invite him to that stake conference, and we are so glad we did. When we called him, he said he was so glad we called because he was in a really dark spot at that moment and was looking for some light to save him- and that's when we called. So he came and was overwhelmed with God's love for him. It's so incredible to see people's faces when they realize how much God and Christ love them and want them to know about His plan. It was amazing. 

 

 

The next day we had our big easter devotional, which we have been practicing for every week since I got here. It was so amazing... in person... sorry if you watched the livestream and it was awful... we are rerecording the songs and they will hopefully be up on the mission page very soon. But the spirit was so palpable. I just want to share my testimony real quick that I know that Christ lives. He lives and He wants us to know about His plan. His plan is personal- specifically designed for YOU! He loves you perfectly. And I know that as you seek to know Him, He will show you the way. He will reveal those miracles to you that He puts in your life daily! You are a divine child of Heavenly Parents. 

 

 

Anyway, teaching has been great, but people's desires to accept Jesus into their lives has been a little difficult. But I understand, accepting Christ and His gospel into your life can be a big adjustment, and it can be scary for some people, but I'm always reassuring them that Christ will meet them where they're at and help them grow in His love. So prayers for these people's hearts to be softened would be fantastic. Also prayers for us to find more people to share His message with would be much appreciated as well. 

 

 

I love you all!! I hope you're doing well!! I've been on a letter writing kick lately, so if you'd like a letter in the mail, send me your address and I'll send you a letter. :)) 

 

 

1 Nephi 1:20 (last part of the verse)-

 "But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance."

Haha, okay okay, so before any of you freak out, I AM OKAY. I didn't have a seizure, all is well. I promise.      But this week was LOCO. So buckle up my friends, this is going to be fun.      This past week, I went on an exchange with Sister Warden. (For those of you who may not know what that is, once a transfer we change companions for part of a day just to learn more about how to improve doing missionary work). BUENOOOOOO!!      How is everyone doing?!?! This is going to be a shorter email again, haha, but I'll tell you some stories.     Also GENERAL CONFERENCE, that was amazing!! General conference is when we get the chance to hear from our modern day Prophet and apostles! They share uplifting messages about Jesus Christ! It was this past weekend, and if you want to know more let me know!!      We went and taught some friends this past week, and we asked one friend (named Walter) if he wants to be able to live with his family forever... AND HE STRAIGHT UP TOLD US NO. It had me and my companions jaws on the floor. But we were able to reroute the conversation and he agreed that he wants to be able to love his family forever. So there's that at least. But it was very interesting. Prayers for Walter would be much appreciated.      This week I tried tacos de lengua (lengua=tongue). It actually was super good!!
